Mr. C's Corner

To keep the community of St. Patrick more informed i've created this blog with the help of some very supportive parents. Please become a follower and spread the word to your family and friends. If you have any announcements of your own for our school I would be more than happy to help communicate them.

February Update

Dear Parents:

Is it too early to have spring fever? Ever since watching some of our students throwing the baseball around in the gym I have been thinking about warmer weather and longer days of sunshine. Spring is a time of optimism, a time for new beginnings. I have hopes of the Tigers making a playoff push. I wonder if the best breeze will come through the windows at the 8 or 10:30 Mass. Am I actually going to be able to put together a solid round of golf? Can I still get on the mound and throw the ball like I used to?

Although all of this is entertaining to think about, this isn’t the focus of my optimism as we approach spring. I am optimistic for us, not for me. Our Saint Patrick School community is entering an opportunistic time to continue to unite and work together to strengthen our school and to ensure that it remains a viable option for members in our greater Catholic community. We are the Catholic school for this region and we want children and families to experience, join, and add to our unique culture that exists here.

The first week that I spent in this office, I was introduced to multiple families at the school who simply stopped by to greet me and say hello. It was my first personal experience with being a part of a school that completely welcomed me with open arms. I remember saying to my mother, “St. Pat’s must be the best kept secret in town!” I now know that we are the best kept secret.

As we move forward, I urge all of you to be a part of spreading the word about our school.  There are so many families in this area that would benefit from being a part of such a strong and supportive community. You are all the strength to this school and community. It’s time to let the secret out and welcome new members into our family as you did with me.
